Coach Sean Broussard is the founder and head coach of MMA 101, bringing the gym’s three core principles — honorable students, quality competitors, and positive community — to life every day on the mats in Glendale, Arizona.
Jose “Hurricane” Hernandez is MMA 101’s Adult MMA Team Captain and an undefeated amateur MMA competitor. A BJJ Brown Belt under Prof. Gilbert Michael Olivas, collegiate wrestler, and multi-organization fighter, Jose brings elite grappling and relentless intensity to every class.
Johnpaul “Pretty Boy” Robinson is the MMA 101 Adult MMA Amateur Lightweight Champion and a professional MMA fighter competing at 155 lbs. A BJJ Purple Belt and RUF MMA Amateur Lightweight Champion, Johnpaul brings championship-level striking and ground game to training at MMA 101.
Sensei Michelle “Grapple Girl” Bishop is a living legend of Arizona martial arts and one of the most decorated female MMA fighters in the sport’s early history. A Professional MMA Hall of Fame inductee, three-division champion, and the first professional female MMA champion in both Arizona and New Mexico.
