Military Combatives

Before opening MMA 101, Sean served as a U.S. Army combatives instructor and as the MMA trainer and liaison to U.S. soldiers stationed in South Korea.

Student results

  • As primary MACP instructor and trainer, Sean coached a soldier in 2010 to the 8th U.S. Army Soldier of the Year award and 2nd place in the Soldier of the Year combatives tournament (May 2010).
  • The same soldier won flyweight tournament titles in South Korea in July and October 2010 and took 2nd at lightweight in December 2010.

  • Listed as a Certified Combatives Brown Belt by Combatives University and the Combatives Black Belt Guild.
